Moving On

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here - it’s incredible (and slightly depressing) how entering the working world seriously takes away your time and motivation.

In any case, here I am.

Since I last wrote, I’ve changed jobs. After not far off two years, I left Magma Digital to follow my career into a different area of the industry - one closer to the sorts of things you’ve seen me write about here. Electronics, firmware, radio, remote systems, security, that sort of thing makes me happy. I’ve joined a small team working on remote logging and telemetry projects (hardware, software and firmware). So far I’m enjoying the change of scenery and the different style of working.

You might also have noticed that I’ve moved away from Wordpress to Ghost, which is a much simpler, cleaner solution for what I’m looking to do with this blog. I can write my posts in simple Markdown and have them up and online in no-time, which I hope will encourage me to write more frequently.

I have managed to import most of my most-read blog posts from the old site, however the comments section is sadly missing. I’ll try to integrate something like Disqus in the short term as some valuable input has been given in the past on some of my posts (which I really appreciate!).

I hope to add some new content soon, so do stay tuned!
